No More Masking

Dear SAU 58 Community,

On Friday, Feb. 25, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its requirement for face masks on school buses. Effective immediately, the CDC no longer requires the wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and childcare education programs. More information is available on the CDC’s website here. Mask wearing will be optional in our schools and on our buses. We have plenty of masks available upon request.

It is possible that the wearing of masks may be an emotionally charged issue. As we move forward, please be respectful of individual decisions by all members of our school community. Together, we have navigated each turn successfully thus far, and I am confident that we can continue to do so with the health, safety, and well-being of our entire community at the forefront.

Thank you for your continued support and patience while we seek to provide the best education we can for the students of SAU #58. We are so fortunate to be part of such a caring and kind community.

Sincerely,
Ronna Cadarette
