Stratford Free & Reduced Lunch Update
Dear Stratford Families,
I am writing to clarify some confusion around the free and reduced lunch status for Stratford Public School. Lunches have been free for everyone in New Hampshire during the pandemic. That program ended this summer.
Stratford students had qualified under CEP prior to the pandemic due to our percentage of direct certification families, however our percentage dropped to 24.5 and it must be between 30-40%. So meals are NOT automatically free for everyone effective immediately.
Unfortunately, that means that students must qualify for free or reduced lunch/breakfast based on the application information or through direct certification. If a family does not qualify, then the student will now have to pay full price for their breakfast and lunch.
This is why filling out the forms is so very important, but most importantly, the children need to be fed. Forms have been sent home in school backpacks, additional forms may be provided at the school office, or they can be filled out online.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ronna F. HasBrouck
