Hello SVS family and friends, tomorrow is our Iditarod day with Groveton Elementary School. Rain is in the forecast, so please be sure to send your student in the appropriate outdoor weather gear and with a change of clothes just in case! Thank you!
Congratulations to our newest Elementary Band students. They are dedicated band students who have progressed enough in their lessons to be invited to play with the rest of the elementary band at Groveton Elementary School. Many thanks to Mr. Tobin for his lessons and dedication to helping them improve! Well done!

On Friday, we used our scooters around an obstacle course, to play freeze dance, and to play Red Light/Green Light. Scooters are great for gross motor development by engaging student's core muscles, legs, and arms as they push themselves along.

Last Thursday, the North Country Chamber Players visited our school for a special mini concert! We learned about their instruments, their history, and experienced the beautiful sounds they can create. Mrs. Croteau's 5th/6th-grade class explored chemical reactions while making goo in their science lesson yesterday.
Today's Library Media classes used Makey Makeys and learned about basic electrical circuits!
