On December 18, 2024, Mark Manganiello, an administrator with the Bureau of School Finance within the NH Department of Education, provided a comprehensive overview of how the state funding of our schools is calculated.
He provided information specific to the communities of Northumberland, Stark and Stratford about how adequacy aid, free and reduced meal aid, and special education membership interacts with SWEPT (statewide education property tax), equalized valuation, and the hold harmless grant.
